As the Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians is all set to lock horns for the all important Qualifier 2, rain threatens to play spoilsport.
With just a mere half an hour left to play, the rain has lashed down on the Narendra Modi Stadium that might put the match in jeopardy.
According to Accuweather, the temperature will hover around 41 degree with just 1% chance of thunderstorms.
If the match cannot go as per planned, the result will be decided with Super Over. If it’s not possible for a Super Over within the time available, then the team which at the end of the regular season, finished in the higher position in the League table will be the winner. That means that Gujarat Titans hold the edge over Chennai in this particular encounter.
Earlier on Thursday, there were chaos among the fans standing the queues at the ticket collecting station of the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad to collect the printed tickets for the IPL Qualifiers 2.
As per the rules, even after booking the tickets online, the the customers must collect their physical tickets from the stadium. The long queues outside the stadium triggered a chaos and fans could be seen jostling with each other in order to reach the ticket counter.
