Fired, Washer Hits Back & Defaces 15 Cars In Condominium With Acid | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: Miffed after being fired by 15 households, a washer allegedly poured acid on 15 cars belonging to his former employers at a condominium in Sector 75 on Wednesday.
The incident was captured on CCTV camera of the parking area of Maxblis White House. Ramraj, the car washer, was caught by the security staff and handed over to police. The owners of the vandalised cars submitted a police complaint and a non-cognisable report was filed against the 32-year-old man.
Sanjay Pandit, vice-president of the apartment owners’ association (AOA), told TOI that Ramraj was employed by several households at Maxblis since 2016. “Around a week ago, he was removed by some residents as they were not happy with his work. Since he was still employed by other residents of the society, his entry was not restricted,” Pandit said. Around 9.15am on Wednesday, the condo’s security in-charge spotted Ramraj in the CCTV footage pouring some liquid substance on a few cars in the basement and raised an alarm, Pandit said.
While Ramraj tried to flee the spot, he was caught by the society’s security personnel and brought back.
“He was handed over to the cops after all the 15 car owners submitted a complaint against him for vandalising the vehicles,” he said.
Footage shows Ramraj in the basement parking area with a plastic bottle in the hand. The man is seen shaking the bottle as he walks from one car to another and pouring some liquid on them — from the bonnet to the boot.
Jitendra Singh, the SHO of Sector 113 police station, said a non-cognisable report had been registered against Ramraj under IPC Section 427 (mischief). “He is originally from Hardoi district. He lives in a rented accommodation in Hoshiarpur village. During questioning, Ramraj told the police that he was upset after being removed from work one after the other. He tried to make excuses for damaging their cars on Wednesday,” Singh said
According to the cops, Ramraj also serves as a launderer to some families in the condo. “Over the past few weeks, people were complaining that Ramraj’s work was not up to the mark. Recently, he was removed by 15 families. On Wednesday, he poured acid on 15 cars to exact revenge on them,” he added.
