Varanasi: Sensation prevailed in the locality after three members of a family including a minor boy were found dead in their room in Bengali Tola locality under Dashashwamedh police station area on Thursday. The bodies were sent for post-mortem. The matter is being investigated.
According to reports, the deceased were identified as Janardan Tiwari (67), his son Ashwini Tiwari (27) and grandson Deepu Tiwari (8). Janardan was a tea seller. They lived in a rented house in Bengali Tola. The local residents, on noticing no movement in his house, informed the police. On breaking open the doors, all of them were found dead on the bed.
The DCP Kashi zone, Ram Sewak Gautam said that prima facie it was a case of suicide, as some particles of sulphas were found near the bed and food plates. The forensic team has been engaged for further investigation. tnn
